Drawing from the Well (Webco WEB-0153, 1996) gathers the three sons of bluegrass legend Don Reno — Ronnie on lead vocals and guitar, Don Wayne on tenor vocals and banjo, and Dale on baritone vocals and mandolin — to extend a musical inheritance of rare depth. Sam Bush contributes fiddle; Steve Wilson plays dobro; David Parmley brings additional vocal presence; Billy Rose handles bass. The Reno Brothers had maintained their father's music through multiple recordings following Don Reno's death in 1984, and this mid-1990s Webco release documents the family working to sustain that legacy into a new generation. Don Reno was among the most technically innovative banjoists of his era, and Drawing from the Well received an IBMA nomination in 1997, recognizing both the quality of the playing and the continuing vitality of the Reno family tradition.
