Steve Wilson is a Lynchburg, Virginia-based dobroist who played with Cliff Waldron's New Shades of Grass, Don Reno's Tennessee Cutups (1976–1983), The Country Gentlemen, and The Lost & Found — a Mike Auldridge-influenced player who later ran the instrument-repair department at Lynchburg Music Center.

- Began professional career in 1973 on dobro with Cecil Hall and the Dominion Bluegrass Boys, backing Charlie Monroe.
