Everything Is Gonna Work Out Fine is a 1987 Rounder Records compilation (CD 11535) collecting highlights from Jerry Douglas's two earlier Rounder dobro albums, Fluxology (1982) and Fluxedo (1985). The sessions draw on a roster of acoustic music's leading figures: Russ Barenberg and Tony Rice on guitar, Sam Bush on mandolin and fiddle, Bela Fleck on banjo, Ricky Skaggs on mandolin and fiddle, and Sharon White on guitar. Together the two underlying albums established Douglas as the leading figure in progressive dobro playing, pushing the instrument beyond its country and bluegrass roots into jazz-influenced instrumental territory. Note: catalog personnel lists "Sharon Warren," which appears to be a conflation of two separate credits — Sharon White and bassist Cheryl Warren — and likely represents a data error.
