Gonna Love Anyway (Compass 7 4738 2, 2019) is the twelfth album from veteran bluegrass songwriter and IBMA Distinguished Achievement Award recipient Louisa Branscomb, co-produced by Missy Raines. A celebration-of-songwriting project, it gathers an all-star ensemble of female bluegrass artists to perform Branscomb's compositions: Becky Buller, Dale Ann Bradley, Jeanette Williams, Sierra Hull, Molly Tuttle, Alison Brown, Celia Woodsmith, and others. The album reached the top of both the Bluegrass and Folk charts, demonstrating the community these artists have built around Branscomb's catalog. Her melodies and lyrics — equal parts wit, tenderness, and grit — have been recorded by dozens of artists over four decades, and the project serves as a definitive songwriter showcase for a career that has long shaped the direction of contemporary acoustic music.
