Highland Travelers is a 2018 Mountain Fever Records debut (MFR-180511) by the eponymous band formed in January 2018. The five-piece — Adam Steffey (mandolin, vocals), Keith Garrett (guitar, vocals), Gary Hultman (dobro, vocals), Jason Davis (banjo), and Kameron Keller (bass, vocals) — drew Steffey, Garrett, and Hultman from the Boxcars and Davis and Keller from Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice, uniting veterans from two of the era's respected ensembles. The band scored a number-one single with "The Little Tennessee," then disbanded in November 2018 when Steffey stepped back from touring, making this their only album. Note: catalog personnel lists Mark Brooks in place of Gary Hultman; all available documentation confirms Hultman as the dobro player.
