Hot Rize in Concert is a 1984 live album released by Hot Rize on Flying Fish Records (FF 315), documenting the Boulder, Colorado progressive bluegrass quartet in performance at Left Hand Grange Hall in Niwot, Colorado, in April 1982. The album presents both the core band—Tim O'Brien (mandolin, fiddle, vocals), Charles Sawtelle (guitar, vocals), Nick Forster (bass, vocals), and Pete Wernick (banjo, vocals)—and their comedic alter ego Red Knuckles & The Trailblazers, a western swing send-up featuring the same four musicians under assumed identities. The double billing reflects Hot Rize's mastery of both high musicianship and good-humored performance, hallmarks of their long career.
