Looking For Yourself cover

Looking for Yourself (Rebel REB-CD 1680) is a recording featuring Dan Tyminski — the Kentucky-born singer and guitarist who later became best known for his years with Alison Krauss & Union Station and for delivering the lead vocal on "Man of Constant Sorrow" in the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack — alongside Dale Perry, Stuart Duncan on fiddle, Tim Austin, and Jerry McMillan. The ensemble reflects the high caliber of the Nashville and Virginia bluegrass sideman community from which Tyminski emerged. Rebel Records, based in Floyd, Virginia, was among the most significant independent bluegrass labels of the era, and the album documents a developing artist whose vocal clarity and instrumental precision were already fully evident before his breakthrough into national visibility with Alison Krauss.
