My All and All, released by Rebel Records in 1997, is one of Ralph Stanley's gospel projects from the late-1990s stretch leading up to the O Brother, Where Art Thou? renaissance that would make him newly famous to a national audience. Recorded at Maggard Studio in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, the album frames Stanley with John Rigsby, Steve Sparkman (handling most of the banjo work as Stanley reserved his hands for one clawhammer track on The Uncloudy Day), James Alan Shelton, James Price, and Ralph II — who sings lead on one track. The Isaacs sisters Sonya and Becky contribute harmony vocals. The album sits as a quiet, foundational gospel statement at the threshold of Stanley's late-career renewal.
