Never Been to Vegas (Red Molly Self-released RM02, 2006) is the first full-length album by Red Molly, a live recording made before a studio audience at Bennett Studios in Englewood, New Jersey, on 11 December 2005. Dae Bennett engineered the session. Three tracks, “Blue Night,” “Coal Tattoo” and “So Are You to Me,” were recorded separately at Rivington66 Studios in New York by Michael Rains.

The trio at the time was Abbie Gardner, Carolann Solebello and Laurie MacAllister. The fourteen tracks include “Caleb Meyer,” “Annabelle,” “Mary of the Wild Moor,” “Coal Tattoo” and “When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder.” At the end of 2006, listeners of the Boston station WUMB chose Red Molly as best new artist of the year, and the album made the station’s list of the year’s top ten albums.
