Presenting the Blue Sky Boys was released by Capitol in 1966 (T-2483 mono, ST-2483 stereo). The brothers recorded it in two days, 17 and 18 May 1965, at Capitol’s studio on North Vine Street in Hollywood, during a trip to California that also took them to the UCLA Folk Festival. Ken Nelson is credited as producer. Bill Bolick sings and plays mandolin, and Earl Bolick sings and plays guitar.

It came after the brothers had returned to recording in the early 1960s, when Starday put out an LP of their old radio recordings and then two new Starday albums, Together Again and Precious Moments. The twelve songs on the Capitol LP are “Corrine, Corrina,” “Wild and Reckless Hobo,” “Midnight Special,” “Who’s Gonna Shoe Your Pretty Little Feet,” “Poor Boy,” “Oh, Those Tombs,” “I Don’t Want Your Greenback Dollar,” “Jack O’ Diamonds,” “The Unquiet Grave,” “Cotton Mill Colic” (written by David McCarn), “Oh, Marry in Time” and “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.”

The John Edwards Memorial Foundation reissued the album in 1976 as JEMF-104 with a booklet of notes and a discography edited by Paul F. Wells, and Arhoolie put it out on CD in 2012 (CD 9063).
