"Road Into Town," released in October 2012 on Patuxent Music (PX CD 238), is an album by Danny Paisley & The Southern Grass — the continuation of the ensemble co-founded by Danny's father, Bob Paisley, and banjo player Ted Lundy in the Virginia-Maryland bluegrass tradition of the 1960s and '70s. Danny leads on guitar and vocals, joined by fiddler Michael Cleveland — one of the most decorated fiddlers in contemporary bluegrass — alongside Keith Sewell, Randy Brown, and Stu Allen. The record represents a revamped post-Bob Paisley lineup (Bob died in 2004) that brought in Cleveland's nationally recognized fiddle talent to support the family's deep-rooted traditional sound, continuing a band legacy that reaches back more than four decades.
