So Long So Wrong cover

So Long So Wrong is the third album by Alison Krauss & Union Station and the first with Dan Tyminski on guitar, replacing Tim Stafford. Rounder released it in March 1997 (Rounder 0365). The band on it was Krauss on fiddle and viola, Tyminski on guitar, Ron Block on banjo and guitar, Adam Steffey on mandolin and Barry Bales on bass.

The singing is split among the band: Krauss leads the title song, written by Patrick Brayer and Walden Dahl; Tyminski leads Jeff White’s “Blue Trail of Sorrow,” with Krauss singing the harmony, and the traditional “I’ll Remember You, Love, in My Prayers”; Steffey sings lead on Bob Lucas’s “No Place to Hide”; and Block wrote and sings “Pain of a Troubled Life.” “Little Liza Jane” is an instrumental. At the 1998 Grammy Awards the album won Best Bluegrass Album, and two of its songs won as well: “Looking in the Eyes of Love” for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and “Little Liza Jane” for Best Country Instrumental Performance. It reached number 4 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart.
