"Still Crooked," released in June 2008 on Signature Sounds Recordings (SIG-2013), is Crooked Still's fourth studio album and the first to feature the full five-member lineup of Aoife O'Donovan (vocals), Brittany Haas (fiddle), Tristan Clarridge (cello), Gregory Liszt (banjo), and Corey DiMario (bass). Produced by Eric Merrill and recorded largely live-to-room at Allaire Studios in upstate New York, the album showcases the chamber-folk and progressive bluegrass hybrid that Crooked Still had developed — stripping string-band instrumentation down to banjo, cello, fiddle, and bass around O'Donovan's ethereal vocal, opening acoustic music to indie-folk audiences. The group went on indefinite hiatus around 2012 but remains a touchstone of the progressive Americana movement and the early-2000s string-band revival.
