Dailey and Vincent

Album · 1986 · Cracker Barrel/Rounder 11661-9124-2

The Gospel Side of Dailey & Vincent, released by Rounder Records in 2012, is the duo's bluegrass-gospel project from their early stretch as the most decorated act in the genre — Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent having launched the partnership in 2007 after their tenures with Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and Ricky Skaggs's Kentucky Thunder, respectively. The program ranges across original sacred material — Dailey's Living in the Kingdom of God, Vincent's Until at Last I'm Home — and gospel-leaning material drawn from outside the bluegrass tradition, including Buck Owens's Eternal Vacation and Carl Perkins's Daddy Sang Bass. The album debuted at number one on Billboard's Bluegrass chart and earned the duo a Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album.
