This World is Not My Home by Jimmy Martin and the Sunny Mountain Boys, released on Decca in 1963, applies Martin's hard-driving approach to sacred and gospel material with the same uncompromising energy he brought to secular bluegrass. Martin, who had honed his style as a Bluegrass Boy under Bill Monroe, was the most overtly aggressive of the first-generation bluegrass singers — his tenor cut like a blade, and his bands played with propulsive force.
