Toil, Tears & Trouble is the Po' Ramblin' Boys' third album and their first for Rounder, released on 23 August 2019, a year after they were named Emerging Artist of the Year at the IBMA awards. Josh Rinkel plays guitar, C.J. Lewandowski mandolin and Jereme Brown banjo, and the three share the singing, with Jasper Lorentzen on bass and Laura Orshaw on fiddle; Dave Maggard produced and recorded it. The twelve songs run from the title track to "Next Train South," "Ice on the Timber" and "Longing for the Ozarks," and the band's choice of Slaid Cleaves and Nathan Hamilton's "Hickory, Walnut & Pine" nearly gave the record its name. It was nominated for the Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album.
