Jasper Lorentzen
Jasper Lorentzen is a Danish-American bassist who, after meeting C.J. Lewandowski at the Kentucky School of Bluegrass and Traditional Music, was working in the Ole Smoky Distillery tasting room when he was recruited as the founding bassist of The Po' Ramblin' Boys in 2014 — a Rounder Records and Smithsonian Folkways recording artist.

- Family moved to Indiana when he was about 13; played in the family band "Old Hat" with his fiddler sister Starlett.
- Met bandleader C.J. Lewandowski in 2010 while enrolled at the Kentucky School of Bluegrass and Traditional Music in Hyden, Kentucky.
- Was working in the Ole Smoky Distillery tasting room when Lewandowski recruited him as the band's bassist in 2014.
- Po' Ramblin' Boys earned a 2019 Grammy nomination (Best Bluegrass Album) for "Toil, Tears & Trouble."
- Band has won IBMA Emerging Artist of the Year (2018) and recorded for Rounder, Smithsonian Folkways, and Turnberry.
- Continues to play bass with the Po' Ramblin' Boys through the current 2025 lineup.
