Dawg’s Waltz

Grisman has kept it in his repertoire. The David Grisman Quintet played it at the Sunset Center in Carmel, California, on 14 August 2004, with Enrique Coria on guitar, Matt Eakle on flute, Jim Kerwin on bass and Joe Craven, a recording released in 2005. He recorded it as a guitar-and-mandolin duet with John Sebastian for their 2007 album Satisfied (Acoustic Disc ACD 67), where it runs 4:19. It was also his contribution to The Road Home, a 2009 tribute album to Butch Baldassari. In 2022 Dawg Works Volume 3: 1982–1991, a collection of his compositions in the order he wrote them, added a previously unreleased version with George Cole on guitar, Matt Eakle on flute, Jim Kerwin on bass, Chad Manning on fiddle and George Marsh on drums.
