Ernest Tubb
Ernest Tubb was an American country singer, guitarist, and songwriter, a founding figure of honky-tonk music.
- Born in 1914 in Texas; he was known as the “Texas Troubadour.”
- Recorded the hugely successful “Walking the Floor Over You” in 1941.
- Led his band, the Texas Troubadours, and was a longtime star of the Grand Ole Opry.
- Was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and died in 1984.
