Kilby Snow
Kilby Snow was an American autoharp player, regarded as a master of the instrument.
- Born in 1905 in Independence, Virginia, he won a North Carolina autoharp championship as a small child.
- Played left-handed and upside-down, inventing the “drag note” technique.
- Was rediscovered by the folklorist Mike Seeger and recorded for Folkways Records. He died in 1980.
