Raymond Fairchild
Raymond Fairchild was an American bluegrass banjo player from Maggie Valley, North Carolina.
- Born in 1939, he was of Cherokee heritage and grew up in the Great Smoky Mountains.
- Performed for many years in a trio with the Crowe Brothers.
- Was renowned for his fast, intricate banjo playing and won many championship awards.
- Opened the Maggie Valley Opry House and died in 2019.
