“It’s So Cold” is a song by BlueRidge, a North Carolina bluegrass band formed in the late 1990s whose ranks included Alan Bibey and Junior Sisk. The band recorded it on one of its albums.
The song uses cold as a figure for a love gone empty. Left alone, or living beside someone whose warmth has faded, the singer feels a chill that no fire can reach — the cold of the title belonging to the heart rather than the weather.
BlueRidge brought together several experienced bluegrass musicians.
