Access All Areas is a 1996 album released by the Kruger Brothers on Blue Martin Records (BLM 330122). The Swiss-American trio—Uwe Kruger (guitar, vocals), Jens Kruger (banjo), and Joel Landsberg (bass)—had relocated from Switzerland to North Carolina by the mid-1990s, embedding themselves in the acoustic music community around Boone. Jens brought a banjo style that synthesized classical technique with bluegrass vocabulary, while Uwe's fingerpicking guitar and warm baritone anchored the group's distinctive sound. Access All Areas reflects an early stateside chapter for a band that would become fixtures at major acoustic festivals and earn recognition from the IBMA for their ambitious approach to the American string-band idiom.
