Brothers of the Highway, released in 2013 on Rounder (9141), is Dailey and Vincent's return-to-traditional-bluegrass statement after detours into Statler Brothers tribute and gospel projects. Jamie Dailey (lead vocals/guitar) and Darrin Vincent (vocals/bass) lead a lineup with Jeff Parker on mandolin, Jessie Baker on banjo, B.J. Cherryholmes on fiddle, and Christian Davis on vocals, joined by an unusually deep guest list — Aubrey Haynie, Bryan Sutton, Mike Compton, Andy Leftwich, Scott Vestal, and Statler Brothers tenor Jimmy Fortune. The repertoire reaches into Monroe, the Louvin Brothers, Vince Gill, and George Strait, recast in close harmony. Self-produced, the album was the duo's Rounder debut and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album.
