"Country Music Memories Vol. 1," released in 1982 on Old Homestead Records (OHS-90134), is a posthumous compilation drawn from sessions by Charlie Moore and the Dixie Partners. Moore — a Virginia-born bluegrass singer and bandleader of considerable influence — died on December 24, 1979; Old Homestead assembled this set from his final recordings, complementing companion volumes on the label. Personnel includes mandolinist Larry Jefferson and other longtime Dixie Partners collaborators. The album preserves Moore's smooth, country-leaning tenor in his late-period style, continuing a recording relationship with Old Homestead that produced some of the most consistent traditional bluegrass documentation of the 1970s. Note: personnel cache lists Nicola Joyce and Noriana Kennedy — Irish folk singers contemporary in origin — whose presence on a 1979 session appears to be a data error.
