Gettin' Ready, released March 28, 2006 on Pinecastle (PRC 1150), is an all-gospel album by BlueRidge, the band Alan Bibey formed after leaving IIIrd Tyme Out. Bibey (mandolin/vocals), Junior Sisk (guitar/lead vocals), Joey Cox (banjo), Alan Johnson (fiddle and baritone-bass vocals), and Ed Biggerstaff (bass/vocals) build hard-driving traditional bluegrass arrangements around tight vocal stacks, with nine of twelve tracks originals from Sisk, Bibey, Paul Williams, Timmy Massey, and David Johnson. The lineup proved short-lived: Sisk would soon depart to launch his own band Ramblers Choice, making Gettin' Ready one of the last full studio statements by this particular BlueRidge configuration before the personnel turned over.
