Gonna Be Movin', released by Rebel Records in 1986 (REB-1644), is a Larry Sparks gospel album recorded January and February of that year at Chandler Audio in Ashland, Kentucky. Sparks led on guitar and lead vocals with Barry Crabtree on banjo and David Harvey on fiddle and mandolin. The album earned an honorable mention at the National Association of Independent Record Distributors awards. The title song and the program around it belonged to the steady gospel-focused thread that Sparks would maintain alongside his secular work throughout his career — sacred material delivered with the same soulful intensity that defined his bluesy lead voice across the bluegrass repertoire.
