Homesick for a Country is the Petersens’ first all-gospel album, released on 9 August 2019. The family band from Branson, Missouri, put together ten songs that had become the most requested at their Sunday gospel show at the Little Opry Theatre over the previous two years: “Sweet Beulah Land,” “I Am the Man, Thomas,” “I Know Who Holds Tomorrow,” “Wade in the Water,” “Far Side Banks of Jordan,” “All My Tears (Be Washed Away),” “Walk Over God’s Heaven,” “Walking in Jerusalem,” “More Than a Name on a Wall” and “Prodigal Son,” the last recorded live at the Little Opry.

John Chapman produced the record and Bill Chapman engineered it. Matt Petersen plays guitar, Katie Petersen fiddle, Ellen Petersen banjo, Karen Petersen bass and Emmett Franz dobro, joined by John Chapman on second guitar and Jeremy Chapman on mandolin. The vocals are by Katie, Ellen, Matthew and Julianne Petersen.
