It's About Time (Rebel REB-CD 1783, 2003) finds Lost & Found returning to classic bluegrass repertoire, covering material from Flatt & Scruggs, Dallas Frazier, Red Allen, and George Jones across fourteen tracks. Allen Mills (bass, lead vocals) and Dempsey Young (mandolin, vocals) — the only surviving members of the band's 1973 founding — lead the project, which proved to be among the last recordings Young would complete before his death in 2006. The album was released concurrently on cassette (Rebel REB-C 1783), consistent with Rebel's dual-format practice of the era. Its title works as both a bluegrass idiom and a quiet valediction for an era of uncompromising traditional playing; Mills's gift for choosing material suited to the group's four-part vocal strengths is evident throughout.
