Carl Butler
Carl Butler was an American country singer, guitarist, and songwriter.
- Born in 1927 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
- With his wife, Pearl, had the number-one country hit “Don't Let Me Cross Over” in 1963.
- Was a longtime member of the Grand Ole Opry.
- Wrote songs recorded by Roy Acuff, Carl Smith, and Bill Monroe. He died in 1992.
