It's About Tyme is a 2015 Break a String Records album (BAS 2015) by Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out — their first release on the band's own imprint after years on Rebel and Rural Rhythm. The lineup — Moore (guitar, lead vocals), Wayne Benson (mandolin), Keith McKinnon (banjo), Justen Haynes (fiddle), and Ray Deaton (bass) — showcases the newer generation of the group alongside veteran members, with McKinnon and Haynes stepping into roles vacated by earlier incarnations of the band. Establishing their own label gave IIIrd Tyme Out creative and commercial independence; It's About Tyme extends their program of hard-driving traditional bluegrass with the vocal sophistication that had brought them seven consecutive IBMA Vocal Group of the Year awards beginning in 2007.
