Legacy is a 2002 three-disc set by Doc Watson and David Holt released on High Windy Audio, produced by Holt and engineer Steven Heller. Watson (guitar, harmonica, banjo, vocals) and Holt (banjo, guitar, vocals) are joined by Richard Watson (guitar, banjo) in a recording that weaves two CDs of personal conversation and music with a live concert captured at the Diana Wortham Theatre in Asheville, North Carolina, in 2001. The album documents Watson's flat-picking showpieces ("Deep River Blues," "Learn to Pick It Good"), old-time chestnuts, and the personal stories Watson told better than nearly anyone. It won the Grammy Award for Best Traditional Folk Album in 2003. Note: the catalog credits Michaela Anne as personnel; the recorded personnel are Doc Watson, David Holt, and Richard Watson.
