Live in Watsonville is a 2014 live album by David Grisman, Doc Watson, and Jack Lawrence released on Grisman's Acoustic Disc label (ACD-82), documenting a concert recorded March 22, 1998, at the Mello Performing Arts Center in Watsonville, California. Watson (guitar, vocals) and Grisman (mandolin) had been recording together since the early 1970s; Jack Lawrence (guitar, vocals)—Watson's full-time flatpicking partner since 1985, the year Merle Watson died—rounds out the trio in a guitar chair previously held by Tony Rice and Dan Crary. Recorded to two-track analog by Dave Dennison, the twenty-four-song program draws on the Doc-and-Dawg repertoire the pair had built across more than two decades. The mayor of Watsonville famously renamed the city "Doc Watsonville" for the occasion.
