Mountain Shout is a collection of traditional songs and tunes by Red Tail Ring, the Michigan duo of Laurel Premo and Michael Beauchamp-Cohen, released on Earthwork Music (EW8502) on 1 April 2011. It was one of two albums the duo put out that year: Middlewest Chant holds their original songs, and Mountain Shout is described as their favorite traditional tunes.

The twelve tracks include “Pretty Polly,” “Edward,” “Wild Bill Jones,” “The Cuckoo,” “Red Rocking Chair,” “Little Maggie,” “Bowling Green” and “The Blackest Crow,” and several are paired with a second piece, such as “I Wish I Wish / Vamp for John” and “Always Been a Rambler / John Brown’s Dream.” Everything is traditional except “Vamp for John,” an homage to John Hartford written by the two of them. Premo plays banjo, fiddles, jaw harp and spoons and sings; Beauchamp-Cohen plays guitar, banjo, mandolin and tenor guitar and sings. The credits describe the album as performed live in a wooden home.
