Poor Boy’s Pleasure is a twelve-song album by Junior Sisk & Rambler’s Choice, released on 27 May 2016 by Mountain Fever Records (MFR 160527). Sisk sings lead. The band is Johnathan Dillon on mandolin and harmony vocals, Jamie Harper on fiddle, Jason Davis on banjo and Kameron Keller on bass and tenor vocals, and Aaron Ramsey, who produced and engineered the album, is credited on guitar. Mark Hodges was the executive producer.
Outside writers supplied several of the songs: Bill Castle and Don Rigsby wrote “Hang a Wreath,” Milan Miller “Walking in the Blue Ridge” and Dan Wells “I Watched You Go.” BGD lists two additional singers. Ronnie Bowman sings the baritone part on “Longneck Blues,” and Paul Williams is listed on tenor for “Jimmy, JD & Paul.” “Longneck Blues,” credited to Sisk and Bowman, won the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Recorded Event of the Year award in 2016.
