Singing From the Heart, released in 2009 on Cracker Barrel Records, is one of Dailey and Vincent's earliest studio albums and a clear statement of the gospel-inflected sound that would define their commercial ascent. Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent — whose sister Rhonda Vincent was already an established star — assembled a band capable of the tight close harmony singing that Southern gospel and traditional bluegrass share. Their Cracker Barrel association placed them immediately in front of the largest possible audience for that sound. Singing From the Heart established the template that Dailey and Vincent would refine across subsequent records.
