Straight Ahead Bluegrass is a 2014 album released by the Roland White Band on Roland White Music (RW 002). Roland White (mandolin, vocals)—co-founder of the Kentucky Colonels with his late brother Clarence and a veteran of Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys—leads an ensemble featuring Diane Bouska (guitar, vocals), Richard Bailey (banjo), Jon Weisberger (bass, vocals), and Brian Christianson (fiddle). The set is a traditional bluegrass program in the Monroe mold, a natural fit for White's deep roots in the style he has championed since the early 1960s. Straight Ahead Bluegrass is the Roland White Band's second studio album, following their Grammy-nominated debut Jelly on My Tofu.
