Together, originally released in 1991 on Kaleidoscope and reissued in 1995 (K 44), is a duet album by Good Ol' Persons alumni Laurie Lewis and Kathy Kallick, recorded Valentine's week 1991. Lewis and Kallick share vocals and rhythm duty, joined by mandolinists Tom Bekeny, John Reischman, Tom Rozum, and Butch Waller; Tony Furtado on banjo; Sally Van Meter on Dobro; Charles Sawtelle and Tony Marcus on guitar. The arrangements are vocal-duet-driven bluegrass with bouncy melodies and the two women's close, distinctive harmonies. The record reunited the singers who had anchored the Bay Area's Good Ol' Persons in the 1970s and made the case that close-harmony women's duets belonged in bluegrass alongside the brother duets that had founded the form.
