We’ll Still Sing On (Rounder 0205) was released on 18 October 1985. It is a gospel album by the Johnson Mountain Boys, recorded at Bias Recording Co. in Springfield, Virginia, in sessions between 30 November 1983 and 9 April 1985. The band is Dudley Connell on guitar, Richard Underwood on banjo, David McLaughlin on mandolin and fiddle, Eddie Stubbs on fiddle and Larry Robbins on bass; all but Robbins sing, and Hurshel Wiginton added on vocals on most of the tracks. Jim Robeson is credited as engineer, and he, Ken Irwin and the band as mixers.
The twelve songs include “I’ve Found a Hiding Place,” credited to Albert E. Brumley, “God’s Not Dead,” with Underwood singing lead and Connell the tenor part, and the title song. The Johnson Mountain Boys, a Maryland band formed in 1975 by Connell and Ron Welch, had made their Rounder debut in April 1981 and averaged about one album a year for the label.
