With Dave Evans and River Bend he played fiddle on Bad Moon Shining, released by Rebel in March 2000. Evans and Don Rigsby produced it at River Track Studio in Louisa, Kentucky, with Evans on guitar, banjo and vocals, Randy Thomas on mandolin and guitar, Rigsby on mandolin and vocals, and Mark Poe on bass. Moore also fiddled on “The Man in the Middle” on Evans’s next Rebel album, Hang Out a Light for Me (2002), recorded at the same studio.

In July 2016 he and Greg Donlan released an album together, Hollow Box Rhythm. It leans on traditional bluegrass and his hard-driving fiddle, with guests including John Bryant of the Grascals, Danny Paisley, Darrell Webb and Ron Spears. The next month he left Remington Ryde to join the Hillbilly Gypsies, the West Virginia band led by Trae and Jamie Lynn Buckner. There he played with Trae on guitar, Aaron Richards on banjo and Alex Richards on bass.

In May 2017, by then living in State College, Pennsylvania, he became the fiddler of Carolina Blue, a band based in Brevard, North Carolina. He joined Bobby Powell on guitar, Tim Jones on mandolin, Reese Combs on bass and James McDowell on banjo, just as the band signed with Poor Mountain Records.
