Tommy Magness
Tommy Magness was a pioneering American bluegrass and country fiddler.
- Made the first recording of “Orange Blossom Special” with Roy Hall's group in 1938.
- Played fiddle with Bill Monroe in 1940, on Monroe's first recordings.
- Also worked with Roy Hall and Roy Acuff.
- Helped popularize “Orange Blossom Special” and the double-shuffle of “Black Mountain Rag.”
