Bluegrass Favorites (Foghorn Music, 2003) is one of a series of budget bluegrass and old-time repertoire recordings made by Caleb Klauder (mandolin) and Sammy Lind (fiddle, banjo) under the Pine Tree String Band umbrella — a studio vehicle rather than a performing act. The pair, later core members of the Portland, Oregon–based Foghorn Stringband, recorded approximately ninety tunes over five days for Foghorn Music's instructional and repertoire catalog, covering standards such as "June Apple," "Cotton Eyed Joe," and "Lonesome Road." The album is a practical snapshot of two Northwest old-time stalwarts early in their careers, before the Foghorn Stringband reached its national audience as one of the defining acts of the contemporary old-time revival.
