Endless Ocean is a 2013 album by the Tuttles with A.J. Lee, a California family band made up of Molly, Michael and Sullivan Tuttle, their father Jack Tuttle, and A.J. Lee. It was released on Back Studio (BSR 003) and reviewed by Bluegrass Today in July 2013.
Molly Tuttle plays guitar, banjo and sings; A.J. Lee plays mandolin and sings; Sullivan Tuttle plays guitar; Michael Tuttle plays mandolin; and Jack Tuttle plays bass and sings harmony. Of its thirteen tracks, most are familiar bluegrass and country songs, among them “White House Blues,” “Columbus Stockade Blues,” “Cotton Eyed Joe,” Cowboy Copas’s “Alabam” and the instrumental “Beaumont Rag.” Hazel Dickens’s “A Few Old Memories” has Molly Tuttle on lead, and Gram Parsons’s “Hickory Wind” has A.J. Lee. The title song is Molly Tuttle’s own, and “Temazcal” was written by Conor Oberst.
