Hillbilly Fever is a 1991 album released by the Osborne Brothers on CMH Records (CD-6269), produced in Nashville and nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album at the 1992 ceremony. Bobby Osborne (mandolin, lead vocals) and Sonny Osborne (banjo, vocals) are joined by their working band—Terry Eldredge (guitar, vocals), Steve Thomas (guitar), and Terry Smith (bass)—for a program that showcases the brothers' celebrated vocal blend and Sonny's banjo mastery. The Osbornes, who had pioneered the amplified twin-banjo style during their Decca years, reconnect here with a sound closer to their traditional roots. Note: several additional names in the catalog personnel are not corroborated by available sources for this recording.
