In Concert (OMAC Records 2) is a live recording from an ensemble of Colorado-based and nationally touring acoustic musicians capturing a performance at an acoustic venue in the Mountain West during the period when the region had become one of the most active centers for the progressive bluegrass and acoustic country movement. Byron Berline plays fiddle; Charles Sawtelle plays guitar; Mark O'Connor plays fiddle; Nick Forster plays guitar and sings; Pete Wernick plays banjo; Sam Bush plays mandolin and fiddle and sings; and Tim O'Brien plays guitar and sings. The ensemble — drawing primarily from the Hot Rize orbit and augmented by Berline, O'Connor, and Bush — documents a gathering of progressive bluegrass's most adventurous performers at a moment when Colorado had become a central hub for the genre's West Coast and Mountain West expansion.
