Kentucky Colonels 1966 is an LP on Shiloh Records (SLP-4084), released in 1978, drawn from recordings the reunited Kentucky Colonels made in 1966 at Second Street Sound in Paramount, California. The band was Clarence White on lead guitar, his brother Roland White on mandolin, Eric White on bass, Dennis Morris on rhythm guitar, Bob Warford on banjo and Bobby Crane on fiddle. Clarence and Roland White, Eric White and Morris are all credited with vocals.

The program includes “The Fugitive,” “One Tear,” “I Might Take You Back Again,” “Give This Message to Your Heart,” “Old Country Church,” “Earl’s Breakdown” and “Cotton Eyed Joe,” with short and repeated takes of “Soldier’s Joy” and “Take Off Your Cheaters,” and two cuts of “Rubens Train,” making up the rest. Dale Davis produced the album and wrote its liner notes. The group kept playing until 1967, when Roland White joined Bill Monroe’s Blue Grass Boys and the Colonels once more disbanded.
