Sings Old Time Country Favorites was released by Rural Rhythm in 1967 as an LP of twenty short tracks, ten to a side (RRMW 158). All of it was recorded in April 1966 in Akron, Ohio. Mac Wiseman sings lead and plays guitar, with Rudy Thacker on guitar and Peggy Peterson also credited.

The program runs from ballads such as “Wreck of the Old 97,” “Mary of the Wild Moor” and “Little Mohee” to “When They Ring Those Golden Bells,” “Grandfather’s Clock,” “Sourwood Mountain,” “Turkey in the Straw” and “Sittin’ on Top of the World.” Rural Rhythm reissued the LP in 1973 as RRMW 258, and in 1997 released the same recordings on CD as 20 Old Time Country Favorites (RHY 258).
