The Old Dominion Masters is a four-disc box set of 101 tracks by Jim & Jesse and the Virginia Boys, issued by Pinecastle (PRC 9001) in 1999. Its core is the recordings the brothers made for Old Dominion, the label they started after leaving Epic and a short stay at Capitol, beginning in 1972; the set draws on the first eight albums issued on the label. BGD’s track data date most of the material from 1972 to 1979, with sessions from 1976 and 1977 on the third disc, a few tracks from 1962 and 1983 and single tracks from 1986 and 1993.

Disc four ends with eighteen tracks from a concert at Sugino Hall in Tokyo on 2 May 1975, with Garland Shuping on banjo, Joe Meadows on fiddle, Keith McReynolds on bass and Hayward Bishop on drums. One of them is “I Wish You Knew,” the Louvin Brothers song, with Jesse on lead vocal and Jim on tenor. Other studio sessions in the set were held at House of Cash in Hendersonville, Tennessee, which BGD names for 31 tracks. Jesse McReynolds is credited as producer of the remastering, and Gary B. Reid wrote the song and artist notes.
