One More Time Before You Go: A Tribute to Tony Rice, released in 2022 on North Star Records, is a five-song EP Dan Tyminski recorded in honor of Tony Rice's repertoire and tone, with Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, and Josh Williams on guitars, Sam Bush on mandolin, Jerry Douglas and Gaven Largent on Dobro, Todd Phillips on bass, and Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent on harmony vocals. Tyminski has said he wrote the title instrumental within two days of Rice's December 25, 2020 death — "cried all day on day one, and on day two, had written the instrumental part." The record functions as a generational handoff: Rice's most direct flatpicking heirs, Strings and Tuttle, joining Tyminski to acknowledge the player who reset bluegrass guitar.
