Dwight McCall

Dwight McCall is a Maryland-born, Cincinnati-raised mandolinist and tenor singer who has held the mandolin chair in J.D. Crowe & The New South since 1996 and co-founded American Drive in 2012 with other former New South members.
- Has played mandolin and sung tenor with J.D. Crowe & The New South since 1996.
- Son of Jim McCall, lead singer/guitarist for Cincinnati's Appalachian Grass.
- First professional gig was with Vernon McIntyre's Appalachian Grass.
- Led the band Union Springs from 1992 to 1995.
- Briefly worked with Charlie Waller and the Country Gentlemen in 1995 before joining the New South.
- Released solo debut "Kentucky Peace of Mind" in 1999 and "Never Say Never Again" on Rural Rhythm in 2007.
- Co-founded American Drive in 2012 with other former New South members after J.D. Crowe's retirement.
